Founder of Evidence Based Motion

Evidence Based Motion was created to deliver a higher standard of mobile personal training. One built on education, athletic experience, and long-term thinking, not trends or quick fixes.

Founded by Louis Maniakas, Evidence Based Motion combines formal training in sport and exercise science with years of real-world coaching and athletic development. The result is a service designed for people who value intelligent programming, precision, and sustainability over intensity for its own sake.

A Background in Performance

Before becoming a coach, Louis was a competitive football goalkeeper in the NSW Premier League system. That experience shaped the way he approaches training today, with an emphasis on movement quality, recovery, durability, and performance under load.

Like many athletes, injury and overtraining became the turning point. Rather than chasing harder sessions, the focus shifted to understanding how the body adapts, how injuries occur, and how training can be structured to support longevity instead of breakdown.

That mindset remains central to Evidence Based Motion.

Education, Not Guesswork

Louis holds a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Technology Sydney, with additional qualifications in fitness and movement-based training.

Every program delivered through Evidence Based Motion is informed by:

  • biomechanics and movement efficiency

  • load management and recovery principles

  • strength development across the lifespan

  • cardiovascular conditioning for health and performance

  • injury-aware training strategies

This is not templated training. It is structured, intentional, and adapted to the individual in front of us.

We deliver training in your home, private space, or outdoor environment, not as a convenience add-on, but as a deliberate choice.

Training in familiar settings removes friction, improves consistency, and allows sessions to integrate seamlessly into real life. Equipment is provided. Sessions are structured. Time is respected.

This is personal training designed around you, not around a gym floor.

Selective by Intention

Evidence Based Motion works with a limited number of clients at any one time.

Each new client begins with an application process to ensure alignment in goals, expectations, and training philosophy. This allows us to maintain a high standard of service and deliver the level of attention required for meaningful, long-term results.

We don’t train everyone, and that is intentional.

Evidence Based Motion delivers mobile personal training for clients who value precision, longevity, and intelligent coaching. Our trainers are selected for their education, athletic background, and ability to coach movement properly, not just count reps. Every session is structured, evidence-informed, and tailored to the individual.
